Jim Green Donates Guns and Decoy Collection to SCWA

In honor of SCWA’s 25th Anniversary past Orangeburg Chapter Chairman and Life Member, Jim Green of Marion, South Carolina donated over $15,000 in guns, prints and decoys to support the SCWA Wildlife Education Center. The guns and prints were auctioned off at the Sportsman’s Ball last February generating over $6,500 in support, while the decoy collection will be put on display at the Wildlife Education Center for everyone who visits the center to enjoy.

According to SCWA Executive Director, David Wielicki, “Jim played a large part in the early success of SCWA through his fund raising efforts in the Orangeburg area. His son, Mcki Green started the Orangeburg Chapter and served on the SCWA Board of Directors for many years. Both father and son made a real difference for South Carolina’s waterfowl and wetlands.” Jim and Mcki developed their passion for waterfowl hunting while hunting together in the Sparkleberry Swamp during its glory days of mallard hunting during the 1960’s and 70’s. Jim Green’s gift is greatly appreciated and will help to make our 25th anniversary year our best yet.
